CBSL will prepare your annual, periodic or management accounts and are familiar with a wide range of manual and computerised accountancy formats. If you prefer to prepare them yourself we will assist you where needed.
Our aim is to do more and more of the accountancy on-line, thus reducing paperwork and increasing the flow of information without the need to travel. It is also an aim of this practice to enable more and more of its clients to computerise their accounts and thus to be able to send them to us by e-mail. That doesn’t mean that we aim to convert you! We are just pointing out the advantages of the Super Highway in terms of speed and efficiency. Accounts and Tax Return production has traditionally been a slow process. We aim to remedy that.
We also provide accountancy bookkeeping services to local businesses.
Taxation and Payroll
We are registered with the Inland Revenue to provide Self-Assessment service and PAYE on-line. This means that we are able to provide a very fast and efficient service. We monitor all the latest developments in SA & PAYE tax through the Revenue’s E-mailing update service. So if there is anything that we think might be of value to you we will send it on. If you are struggling with doing tax yourself give us a call—we are here to help. We provide a full Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Tax Planning service.
CBSL also provide a full payroll service to many of our clients, which effectively take all the hassle away from an area that is becoming increasingly bogged down with red tape.
Intuit QuickBooks and Quicken
CBSL are QuickBooks Professional Advisors. QuickBooks is the biggest selling
off-the-shelf small business accountancy software in the world and has
an extensive UK support network. Quicken is the best home-user accountancy
software available. We highly recommend these excellent products and provide
support and training where needed. We can also handle most technical queries.

Sage Line 50 and Instant Accounting
Sage Line 50 is the single most popular small business accounts software in the UK and also enjoys an excellent back up service. Sage Instant Accountancy is very popular amongst small business users. We recommend both types of software depending on your business needs. We offer support for both packages and can handle most technical queries.
